Muthu Raga Madeira Hotel, Funchal (Madeira)

I had a lovely stay at the hotel, with clean and comfortable rooms featuring a decent sized balcony offering a nice view of the seafront. The only downside was the issue with the air conditioning not working in several rooms throughout the week. The service was a bit hit and miss, with some staff being a bit miserable, but the friendly cleaner always had a smile and was very helpful. The location was perfect, being quiet yet close to everything needed for a great New Year's Eve stay. The dining experience had good options, although there were some issues with cold food and slow service. The facilities were decent, but there were some areas that needed improvement.

The hotel was clean and the food was excellent, but some improvements are needed in terms of accessibility. The staff was very friendly, except for one member. We look forward to returning next year for a special occasion.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and offered a glorious Sea/Promenade view from the 4th floor. Although the bathroom could use a refurbishment, everything was clean. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were really clean and modern with a small balcony, and the sea views were totally worth it. They were spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bathroom had a brilliant shower. The service was fantastic, everyone was very nice, helpful, and informative, although the early morning noise from slamming doors was a little disruptive. The location was perfect, within walking distance of everything I needed and felt extremely safe. The dining options were satisfactory but a bit monotonous. Overall, a great value for the money.
